Gathapraya

Gathapraya is an art festival event from 3 Senior High School Bandung. This event held on September 30 2017. This event located in Bali Field, not far from 3 Senior High School. This event start from the morning at Saparua Park. Then we walked to Bali Field. Gathapraya 2017 display many public figures, like Didik Nini Thowok, SE Percussion, OSD ITB, Vina Candrawati, Giri Harja, HIVI, Nidji, and many more.

On that day, I can't follow the event from begin until the end. I have to do a test in my courses. So, after we arrived in Bali Field from Saparua Park. I go to my courses, in Gelap Nyawang Street.The test end at 2 pm, and then I go back to Bali Field until 9 pm. That was a very interesting events.

Orientation	One day, while walking in the bamboo  forest, an old, childless bamboo cutter called Taketori no Okina (竹取翁, "the Old Man who Harvests Bamboo") came across a mysterious, shining stalk of bamboo. After cutting it open, he found inside it a baby the size of his thumb. He rejoiced to find such a beautiful girl and took her home. He and his wife raised her as their own child and named her Kaguya-hime (かぐや姫 "radiant-night princess"). Thereafter, Taketori no Okina found that whenever he cut down a stalk of bamboo, inside he found a small nugget of gold. Soon he became rich, and Kaguya-hime grew from a small baby into a woman of ordinary size and extraordinary beauty. At first, Taketori no Okina tried to keep her away from outsiders, but over time the news of her beauty had spread.	Who ? Where ? Action verb (etc.)
Complication	Eventually, five princes came to Taketori no Okina's residence to ask for Kaguya-hime's hand in marriage. The princes eventually persuaded Taketori no Okina to tell a reluctant Kaguya-hime to choose one from among them. To this end, Kaguya-hime concocted impossible tasks for the princes to accomplish. She would agree to marry the prince who managed to bring her a specified item.    That night, Taketori no Okina told the five princes what each of them must		Linking word
	bring. The first was told to bring her the stone begging bowl of the Buddha from India. The second was told to retrieve a jewelled branch from the island of Hōrai. The third was told to seek the legendary robe of the fire-rat of China. The fourth must retrieve a colored jewel from a dragon's neck. The final prince was told to find thecowrie which was born from swallows.    Realizing that it was an impossible task, the first prince returned with an expensive bowl, but after noticing that the bowl did not glow with holy light, Kaguya-hime saw through his deception. Likewise, two other princes attempted to deceive her with fakes, but also failed. The fourth gave up after encountering a storm, while the final prince lost his life in his attempt to retrieve the object.    After this, the Emperor of Japan, Mikado, came to see the strangely beautiful Kaguya-hime and, upon falling in love, asked her to marry him. Although he was not subjected to the impossible trials that thwarted the princes, Kaguya-hime rejected his request for marriage as well, telling him that she was not of his country and thus could not go to the palace with him. She stayed in contact with the Emperor, but continued to rebuff his requests.    That summer, whenever Kaguya-hime saw the full moon, her eyes filled with tears. Though her adoptive parents worried   greatly and questioned her, she was unable to tell them what was wrong. Her behaviour became increasingly erratic until she revealed that she was not of this world and must return to her people on the Moon. In some versions of this tale, it is said that she was sent to the Earth as a temporary punishment for some crime, while others say it is because she was sent to earth for safety during a celestial war.    As the day of her return approached, the Emperor set many guards around her house to protect her from the Moon people, but when an embassy of "Heavenly Beings" arrived at the door of Taketori no Okina's house, the many guards were blinded by a strange light. Kaguya-hime announced that, though she loves her many friends on Earth, she must return with the Moon people to her true home. She wrote sad notes of apology to her parents and to the Emperor, then gave her parents her own robe as a memento. She then took a small taste of the elixir of life, attached it to her letter to the Emperor, and gave it to a guard officer. As she handed it to him, the feather robe was placed on her shoulders, and all of her sadness and compassion for the people of the Earth were forgotten. The   heavenly entourage took Kaguya-hime back to Tsuki-no-Miyako ("the Capital of the Moon") leaving her earthly foster parents in tears.
Resolution	The parents became very sad and were soon put to bed sick. The guard officer returned to the Emperor with the items Kaguya-hime had given him as her last mortal act, and reported what had happened. The Emperor read her letter and was overcome with sadness. He asked his servants: "Which mountain is the closest place to Heaven?", to which one replied that the Great Mountain of Suruga Province is the closest place to Heaven. The Emperor ordered his men to take the letter to the summit of the mountain and burn it, with the hope that his message would reach the distant princess. The men were also commanded to burn the elixir of immortality since the Emperor did not desire to live forever without being able to see her. The legend has it that the word immortality (不死 fushi?, or fuji)became the name of the mountain, Mount Fuji. It is also said that the kanji for the mountain, 富士山 (literally "Mountain Abounding with Warriors"), is derived from the Emperor's army ascending the slopes of the mountain to carry out his order. It is said that the smoke from the burning still rises to this day. (In the past, Mount Fuji was much more volcanically active than today.)

Sherlock Holmes Museum.

The Sherlock Holmes museum is a museum that dedicated to the famous fictional detective,Sherlock Holmes. The museum is located in 221b, Baker Street, London UK, but actually the Sherlock Holmes museum is located between numbers 237 and 241. This change aims to match the location with the Sherlock Holmes novel.. It opened since 1990. This museum is open every day except Christmas day from 09.30am until 06.00pm.

Sherlock Holmes himself is a fictional detective character, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He made a novel with the same title as the character, Sherlock Holmes, in 1887. Sherlock holmes has also been made into a movie with the same title.

This museum contains objects that relate to sherlock holmes. The atmosphere in this museum makes us feel back to london in the 18th century. Detective atmosphere is felt here. So, this museum must be visited by Sherlock holmes fans in particular.

It is open as a museum dedicated to the life and times of Sherlock Holmes, and the interior has been faithfully maintained for posterity exactly as described in the published stories. The published stories however contain all the relevant facts about the house and the lives of Mr Holmes which visitors can explore by visiting the Museum. Conversation about planning for the next holiday.

Ihsan :"Very good, thanks. The next holiday is on 19 December 2017 until second of January 2018, right ?"

Maya :"Yes, it's a very long holiday."

Ihsan :"What is your plan for it ?"

Maya :"Maybe I will go to Korea."

Ihsan :"Wow ! It must be amazing holiday. With whom will you go ?"

Maya :"I'll go with my relatives."

Ihsan :"What will you do there ?"

Maya :"Enjoy the scenery, learn the Korean culture, and many more."

Ihsan :"Why you'll go to Korea ?"

Maya :"Because I love everything about Korea, like Korean drama, K-Pop, and Korean food."

Ihsan :"How long you'll stay there ?"

Maya :"About two weeks."

Ihsan :"Hope you enjoy there !"

Maya :"By the way, how about you ?"

Ihsan :"I think, I'll go to Jakarta, to my brother's apartement."

Maya :"It must be fun, right ?"

Ihsan :"I hope so."

Maya :"What will you do there ?"

Ihsan :"Maybe, hang out with my brother, my sister in law, and my nephews."

Maya :"Why you choose to meet your brother ?"

Ihsan :"He is so busy, so I rarely meet him. And if he can't go back to Bandung, I'll go to Jakarta."

Maya :"With whom you'll go ?"

Ihsan :"My mother, father, my second brother, and my sisters."

Maya :"How you go there ?"

Ihsan :"Ummm... By train, maybe."

Maya :"How long you'll stay there ?"

Ihsan :"About a week."

Maya :"Hope you enjoy your holiday, Ihsan !"

Unforgettable moment

When I was 12 years old. I study at SMPN 10 Bandung,  my previous school before I study at SMPN 2 Bandung. One day, SMP 10 held a camp event in a TNI field, not far from SMPN 10 Bandung, but I don't know the way to SMPN 10. The camp event was held on Saturday until Sunday. It was a very good event.

On Sunday, the camp ends at 2 pm. I thought my mom was already in the front of the field, but it was not. So I waited for my mom by the side of the road. One by one my friends went their home. So I was alone. I waited my mom maybe for 1 hour, but my mom didn't come. I was frightened. Then I cry because I'm afraid my mom doesn't pick me up. I covered my face with my hands in shame. Not long after that, a woman came up to me and asked what's happen with me, and lent her handphone, at that time, I didn't have any mobile phone. Then the woman took me into the TNI post, and waiting there. After that, I called my mom with her phone. Then I told my mom that I was waiting in front of TNI field. And my mom said that she was waiting at SMPN 10. She immediately went to pick me up. Not long after that my mom came and picked me up. Honestly, I forgot what happened to the woman after my mother picked me up.

Now, I want to thank to the woman who lent me her handphone. I wish I could meet her one day. And I hope I could repay her kindness one day. And if you read my blog now, I want to say thank you very much for lending me your phone.

Conversation

One day, I go to the hospital, to see my friend, he has a fever. There, I see a man, I call him Mr. Ray, and his daughter, Thyme. And we're make a conversation.

Me : "Excuse me sir, is it your daughter ?"
Mr. Ray : "Yes, she is."
Me : "My name is Newt, and now I'm visiting  my friend, he has a fever."
Mr. Ray : "My name is Ray, and she is Thyme."
Me : "I'm sorry, but may I ask you, what's wrong with her ?"
Mr. Ray : " She has cancer since 2016, she just had chemotherapy a few hours ago."
Me : "I'm sorry to hear that, hope your daughter gets well soon."
Mr. Ray : "Thanks, your friend too."
Me : "By the way, where are you come from ?"
Mr. Ray : "We're from New Zealand, how about you, Newt ?"
Me : "I'm from Indonesia."
Mr. Ray : "Are you a student ?"
Me : "Yes sir, in SMAN 3 Bandung. May I know your profession, Mr. Ray and your daughter ?"
Mr. Ray : "I'm a painter, and Thyme like painting. Do you like painting too ?"
Me : "Really ? I like all about painting, I know some painter, like Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dali, and many more."
Mr. Ray : "Wow, do you know painting like, starry night, the persistence of memory, cafe terrace at night ?"
Me : "Yes. I'm sorry sir, but I have to go to three other places now. Hope Thyme gets well soon, and God bless you, Mr. Ray."
Mr. Ray : "You too Newt, you're a good person."
